Alejandra Morales filed an amparo against the linking to process for alleged political violence based on gender. The former candidate for the mayoralty of San Nicolás stated that the municipality is ready for a change, but the old machinery does not allow it.
In her statements, Morales highlighted her commitment to justice and her determination not to give in to the pressure she has faced. She stressed that the truth will prevail over any other consideration and that her strength as a citizen will not be intimidated by any circumstance.
The coordinator of Women in Motion, Anayeli Muñoz, pointed out that the figure of political violence based on gender is being used for purposes unrelated to the pursuit of justice. Additionally, legislator Ortega called on women to reject any injustice and to stay united in the struggle.
For his part, lawyer Héctor Mateos explained that the amparo presented aims to question the actions of the common court judge and is confident that the ruling will be in favor of Morales. The defense emphasized the importance of not allowing a legitimate cause such as the fight against gender violence to be used to fabricate crimes.
Morales expressed her gratitude for the support received and emphasized that she will continue to fight, not only for her own benefit, but for all those who yearn for change. She stressed that she is convinced of the strength of the people over the fear they try to instill.
Amid the legal process, Morales remained firm in her stance, defying any attempt at intimidation. She assured that the backing of those who support her gives her the necessary strength to move forward and face adversities with courage and determination.
